President of DAÜ-TEKMER Prof. Süha BAYINDIR and member of the Administrative Board Ass. Prof. Işık AYBAY, with the aid of Electrical and Electronics and Computer Engineering students, are creating the 3D Google Earth model of the EMU Campus. Right now 10 of the EMU buildings have been modeled and accepted by Google Earth. Using this 3D EMU Campus model Onur YILMAZ, a graduate of EMU Engineering Faculty, Gökhan Sert and Razık Harsoğlu, seniors in the Engineering Faculty, have created an online interactive guide of the EMU Campus. You can reach this guide where you could see the panoramic inside view of the buildings as well as their 3D models at http://3d.emu.edu.tr .

During the completion of the project, which is to be completed soon, databases about buildings, personnel and activities will be created and search engines will be applied. The 3D EMU Campus model will be a great tool in promoting our University Internationally. The geographic, demographic, academic and activity related databases that have been started to be placed on the model layer by layer, with the aid of the search engines soon to be placed, will be a considerable aid to the University Administration in making healthy and optimal decisions, and to the EMU family in watching the activities with ease. On the other hand, it will allow the promotion of EMU, in great detail and a wide range of aspects, on a global scale.
