The researchers of EMU and TechnoPark are developing an Information Based 3D Tourist Guide for the effective promotion of TRNC worldwide. Using the 3D modeling of TRNC and the interactive guide online, it will be possible to view 3D models of historical and touristic locations in TRNC, to watch panoramic views of the insides of touristic buildings and reach informational audio on these locations in several languages. On the other hand, this project will allow our youth to learn about their country’s historical heritage in a 3D, interactive and fun environment. The prototype of the project have been completed and presented to the Department of Tourism, where it attracted a lot of attention.

The project which require the work of many students in the modeling process, has another purpose, that is the easy identification, observation, evaluation and understanding of locations and artifacts with Cultural and Touristic importance by the use of cell phones and palmtop computers.
